Sunday, August 5, 2007 - Triangle in a Square Rulers

The pattern was paper pieced but using the rulers was easier for me.  The pattern makes 6" pinwheel blocks. The photo shows progress in pin basting and I really need to finish that.

Saturday, August 4, 2007 - Where, oh, where, have I been?

I guess I just didn't.  I have been busy with quilting and other things and didn't take time to update.  I have been busy with the quilting group at church.  I have added more creatures to the farm.  They are taking more of my time than I expected.   I am working on a baby quilt for a friend of my daughter.  The weather makes quilting very appealing.

Saturday, November 18, 2006 - busy

I had a 3 day workshop at my guild and then our regular meeting.   I have been so far behind in everything but I did finish 32 northwind blocks.  I had to put them away at that point to finish some quilts that I need finished.   I start too many new projects without finishing old ones.  I know everyone is ready for Thanksgiving and I hope everyone has a great holiday.

Saturday, October 28, 2006 - Muddy feet

Well, Helga's feet were really muddy but she wanted to curl up on the unfinished quilt and she did.  She didn't enjoy the foot bath in the sink but it was justice.  I finished the binding on one of the church quilts and will finish the other one today. I hope without muddy feet involved.  We have high winds today which will bring a lot of leaves down.  Yes, I am happy I have a lot of trees but....................

Wednesday, October 25, 2006 - 23 degrees

Well,  now it is cold.  The ginko trees all dropped their leaves today and they were green, not the beautiful gold color.  So,  I clean the deck, walks and part of the driveway with the leaf blower.  Now, I can quilt without thinking I should do leaves.  I am still piecing the north wind block.   I need these in one week.    I have several bindings to finish by hand sewing.  Maybe I will do one of those tonight.  Still no Christmas ideas.

Monday, October 23, 2006 - Winter

Brrrr...  Winter seems to have arrived. The wind is still bringing leaves down.  This is great weather to quilt.  I need ideas for Christmas.  I guess I will look in magazines for marked patterns.  I mark the patterns and hope I will get around to the project.  I know I have those somewhere.

Sunday, October 22, 2006 - Windy Day

The leaves are still taking a downward path.   I think that they will wait on me.   I am stippling a Star of Hope, slowly.  I had to stop this project several weeks ago because I needed to finish 2 wallhanging for my guild's quiltshow.  I am just now getting this project started again.  I hope to soon start Christmas projects.

Saturday, October 21, 2006 - Beautiful Fall Day

It is a beautiful fall day in Tennessee.  Leaves are falling everywhere and on everything.   I should be outside moving leaves but I am working on my blocks.  Laundry waits for me, but I ignore it.  Piecing is much more fun!

Friday, October 20, 2006 - Northwind

I have one block finished and I only have 41 more to piece.  This is for a workshop in November.  I like the design possibilities of this pattern.  I need to have at least half of the blocks before the classes start or I'll never have time to finish.
