when I say cute I mean the baby.  Hubby asked me late tonight if I had 'anything' for a newborn.  One of his customers has just had a little girl.  He is going to see the parents tomorrow and wanted to bring them a little something.

Thanks for the heads up- I had given the last of the baby quilts away.  I do have the four for the grand-kids that i could steal one from but I decided to skip dishes after dinner and head to the quilt room and 'see' what I could come up with.

This is a panel, I quilted a lace patten.  I didn't pin the binding and surprise only had one tuck to deal with.  The baby will never know.  I don't like dead-lines so after I got this done, I dug around and 'found' fronts and back for another dozen small give-a-ways.  Next time I can be prepared. 

We have had such a good response on the Heart Drawing--14 people so far, and you can still sign up, we don't draw names until Feb.14.  That I got to thinking about some other ways to cause trouble. That's my specialty you know.  Here's my thought.

Easter/May Basket--due May 1, must be a basket design block, make 2 different designs, whatever fabric colors, then we draw names and exchange blocks. Like our Christmas drawing.

July 4th due--Red, white and blue colors, any design block.  Blocks all go together then we draw 2 names and evenly divide the blocks.

October 15 due--Any colors but must be something for Halloween, make 4 blocks, then we draw names and exchange blocks.  Like our Christmas drawing.

Let me know what y'all think.  Is this too much or does it sound fun?  Tell me what you're thinking.  Molly

It was so nice to spend an hour in the sewing room today. I never feel I like I get anything done in a day  but it usually takes me all day to do it *LOL*

Daughter was having plumbing problems again so has been over here every day to shower and did laundry. She got herself very worked up about this too so I spent a lot of time on the phone with her trying to calm her down. They went from Friday evening until this morning with no plumbing in the house. I went over this morning and let the plumber in cause I wasn't going to take a chance on their schedules not matching. It's fixed for now thank goodness. Next we're going to look for a new place for them to live. This was a beautiful house when it was built in the 1930's. The dark wood around doors and the hardwood floor are gorgeous! But it's gone majorly downhill. The woman that owns it has it as an investment to be sold to a developer so puts as little as possible into it. The Post Office won't even deliver their mail cause the landlord refuses to pay to have the bushes along the front walk cut down or even cut back.  

I finally finished my FIRST block.  You quick people that already have 4 done---I'm not talking to y'all  *LOL*  As you can see my block is a little different.  If you can't recognize it---it's a FISH.  It is made up of 3 hearts, mouth, body, and tail. I have written on it "I'm Hooked On Quilting".  So you can now tell me how crazy I am.  It isn't the best work my MS is giving me fits and I have to use my left hans but it is finished.  I think this is fun, I hope y'all are enjoying it too.

Maybe some one can help I filled one photo alblum with pictures so I went to pictures and started a second one ,is this what I'm suppose to do or do I delete some of my pictures .Well it worked so I guess  we just use a second alblum .

I got the first tea cup done now I have a question ,call me crazy but I don't trust any of the steam a seam etc .I do use it but always stitch around it ,now how the heck am I suppose to stitch around these tiny things ?The cup is only 4" high so you can imagine how small those hearts and leaves are .Maybe I could do around the bigger leaves and heart and pray the small ones don't fall off .

This is a neat little program that was on one of my other list ,would come in handly for labels or signature quilts .

I don't know if y'all use EQ to every design your quilts.  I have had it for years and I love it but this link below is just a quick little designer.  It only has triangles and all you do is click and hold down on the color you want and move it to the spot you want then let up the button..  It's not a big fancy game but it sure is fun.  Give it a try, if I can do it anybody can.  Molly

Well I had a strange day to day ,got my first card that says senior on it LOL ,I was happy at first thinking of all the classes I could take at a reduced rate but my god ,senior me ,but now I'm not so sure I like it .?The rec centre's considers you a senior at 55 ,now if the goverment would give  us our checks at 55 that would put a big smile on my face for that of course its 65.I'm really not the kind of wonen who gets depressed by age ,I'm skinny in ,good health and I can still wear my tight jeans what more could I ask for LOL ,I also have this thirst to learn everything i can .I had no knowledege of HTLM codes when I came on here but I'm learning ,ok so I'm a geek LOL .Now I can honestly say ,I'm as old as dirt .lol Shall we have a pity party ,bring the chocolate LOL

I got another block done in my side bar ,not sure I like it but its done .Just out of curiousity how many of you women actually plan your blocks on paper or on the computer. I have both quiting systems and never use either ,I just don't find the designing part fun to do.
