Today's finds on a grey Yard Sale morning
|
It was a little grey out there, and a few drops of rain fell, but I managed to find a few treasures.

-
3 carabiners that say "Canadian Forces" on them. The boys will like them. Three for 25¢
-
8 vintage ties (not for me - my grandmother is pondering the idea of making a quilt from ties) The gold one and the royal blue with lilac diamonds one are my favourites. All eight for 25¢
-
White muslin sheet - PERFECT for my Dear Jane backgrounds - $1
-
Retro sheet - ooooh....imagine matching cloth grocery bags - $3
-
Old tin with embossed kitten on top - 25¢
-
Embroidered pillowcases and vintage tea towel. The tea towel has never been used. It still has the adhesive from a sticker on it. Let this be a lesson to you: do not save your nice linens because they are "too good" to use for everyday. Some day when you're dead and gone, your children will donate them to a church rummage sale, and someone will buy them for 75¢ (total)
-
Quilt books. They are worthy of a look, and much cheaper than a magazine. I paid $2 for the three of them.
