![]() This started as one of those panels that looks like it was pieced together, well I bought it from the Goodwill, it was 3 panel @ .50 each. Well, to make a quilt with it you needed either 2 for a small quilt or 4 for the bigger size.So with 3 I had to cut it all apart to make it come out right. Sorry the pic is blurry. What a surprise I got when I was looking at the photo's in my camera when I went to post a quilt that I finished. My husband ( the car fanatic) and some of the boys drove around North Carolina, when we went on vacation. While us girls went "POTTING" My B and SIL leave near the Pottery section of NC, There is one area that must have 75 different potters. Needless to say us girls had a good time. I guess the boys did too! Instructions for the Tea Bag dolls

Materials:
Place the 2 1/4" piece of print right sides together with the 2 1/4" piece of muslin and sew around leaving an opening to turn. Use a 1/4" seam allowance. Clip the corners and turn the piece right sides out and press. Repeat this step with the 3 1/2" by 2 1/4" print and muslin pieces. Line the bottom of the smaller piece with the bottom of the larger Muslin sides together. Tuck in one 2 1/2" piece of ribbon on each side for the arms and the 2 pieces of 3 1/2" ribbon at the bottom for legs. Sew around the three matched sides leaving the doll open at the top. Make a single knot in the end of each ribbon to represent the dolls hand and feet. Fold the top edge of the longer piece down and press. Sew the button centered on the flap (see picture) and add the features. Glue some hair on your doll and allow to dry. Tuck a tea bag into the pocket and she is ready to go. This little doll makes a great small gift for someone far away as you can send her in a card with an invitation to have tea with you. Tea bag doll

Here is my contribution to easy homemade gifts. If you are really short on time, This bedside Caddy is made with 4 Place mats. So cute and Easy. If anyone needs directions let me know and I can email them or post them. Have a good day. Kim Thought I would edit and just include the instructions.Happy to help. Here are the directions. although I have not made one yet.... Make a Caddy from 4 Quilted place mats. 2 with a pattern and 2 in a solid color if possible. Use one printed mat for the base. Cut the pockets from the other mats as follows. With the scalloped edge or finished edge on one side. Solid color 15" X 10 1/2". Patterned 12" X 8 1/2" Solid 8" X 7"(save the remainder of this one.) Take the 2 larger pockets that you just cut and fold back a 1/2" seam allowance on 3 sides saving the finished edge for the top and use strong permanent glue such as Fabri-Tac by Beacon Adhesives. On the smallest pocket, use the reverse side as the front if possible and turn down the front 1 1/2" as a cuff. then hem the cut sides. Glue a strip of 1/2" ribbon across the cuff of the smallest pocket. To assemble place the largest pocket on the base, centering it from right to left and about 1"from the bottom. Glue sides and bottom. Repeat with the remaining pockets. Glue a bow of 11/2" ribbon. Glue on streamers of the narrow ribbon and small rosette. Trim cut the edge of the reserved mat straight.Fold under and glue a 1/2" hem along cut edge. Glue hemmed edge to back of the caddy about 1" from the top edge so that it extends above the caddy. To install, slip partial mat between the mattress and box spring. Secure to box spring with 4 upholstery twist pins spaced evenly across. Sounds simple enough. Good Luck. Kim Love this site
