Dec. 3, 2008 - *Lets Say Thanks* |
If you go to this web site: www.LetsSayThanks.com you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq. You cannot pick out who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services.
How amazing it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one! It is FREE and it only takes a second.
Wouldnt it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these? This takes just 10 seconds and it is a wonderful way to say thank you. Please take the time to send to our troops and then take the time to pass the link along for others to do. We can never say thank you enough. God Bless America. |

Dec. 2, 2008 - snow |

This is when I like snow... This picture is actually even cooler than what it looked like outside the other morning when I took it. It was already a little light out, although in the pic, it looks dark. But I love the way the snow sparkles with the flash. This was our first snow of the season, here in central Illinois. :o)
I am working on an count-down Christmas calendar. The pattern is here:

I am still working on the log cabin blocks. All scrappy, all from my stash. :o) Need to get busy on it, as it is already December 2nd! Ha!
Not much else to show, as what I have been working on otherwise, has been Christmas gifts for some online friends... :o)
Thanks for looking! |

Nov. 30, 2008 - Priceless... |
Any of you that have known me for just a little bit, knows that I lost my Dad a year ago, October 30, 2007. He meant the world to me and it has been very hard. But the other day in the mail, I got the most amazing gift.
A little history, my Dad was the youngest, with 15 years between him and his brother, and 18 years between him and his sister. So they were not close. And there apparently were *incidents* that kept them not close, details were really never shared with us.
So I get this little envelope from my Uncle. I recognize his name and FL as the return address. Oh dear, what is this? Hoping it is not something I don't want to see or hear about. There is a note. He feels he has to let me know that he is *Lee's older brother*. (Goes back to family history.) He found some things in *Mother's papers* and thought I might like to have them.
I cried and cried. Priceless...

Nov. 25, 2008 - new pics |
New pics to share tonite! :o) Here are a few of the things I have been working on while the blog was down.
This first one is called Country Pinwheels. It was a kit from Connecting Threads. It was for a customer - she is giving it as a Christmas gift.

This quilt is like the pink/purple little quilts I made before, but in blue for a baby quilt. (Same customer as above.) This one is hand quilted.

And then Jimmy! :o) This first pic is him *wearing* his sisters basketball uniform, and then the second one is just him posing... He loves the camera. I cant believe he will be 2 in just a few short months.
