Monday, June 16, 2008 - Templeton and customer quilts

We had a good weekend walking around Templeton at the outside quilt show. Some really beautiful quilts to see there. I purchased some fabrics but didn't really get all that I wanted. I am on the search for Reds..... In Paso Robles we stopped at a fabric shop there and found a few reds that I liked. We found a new quilt shop there but they don't open till 4pm on Saturdays so we will have to try that one next time. Templeton was pretty cool though with the quilts hanging all along main street. I took a few pictures but they didn't really turn out to well but here they are.

This is a customer quilt. It's really pretty in person too. Love the colors she used. She chose the meander/stipple pattern and I used Dyed Natural thread.

That looks like a great quilt show - I've never been to an outdoor affair. The customer quilt is wonderful, too. How neat it must be for you to see everything that your customers bring in! Of course, there would be some that would make me want to go work on quilts of my own rather than quilt theirs, I am sure.

What a cute little town. I've never been to a quilt show like that. I will have to definitely check out what may be in my area. Looks like lots of fun. The weather looked to be beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

I also have never been to a quilt show outside - guess they weren't expecting rain! I'd not heard of Paso Robles until I started reading the Benni Harper books - now I have even looked it up on a map! Like the quilting you did on the customer's quilt also - good job.
