Friday, June 13, 2008 - Quilts and quilt show tomorrow..yay, we get out of town for the day

I have a lot to do today and haven't even gotten started yet. I have been uploading pictures to my photobucket and deleting pictures from my camera. All that takes a good while to do. I still didn't get all the pictures uploaded to PB but I will get then sooner or later. I did get a few done to post on here though. Tomorrow we are headed to the outdoor quilt show in Templeton CA http://www.templetonquiltshow.com/ We've never been to this one but it looks fun and it's on the coast so hey what could be more fun that that.... This first quilt picture is a turning twent quilt. Jeanette didn't really like it when she brought it to be quilted but loves it now. She wasn't sure about the colors but after the quilting she changed her mind. I like it and she did good on it.

This one was made by Mary Beth. It is actually the pattern called Card Trick. To me it looks like a different pattern I guess because of the fabric she used for it. It's very pretty in person you just wouldn't think it is card trick.

This quilt is very pretty too. You can't really see the true color of the fabric in the picture. I quilted an Ivy Vine pattern on here with a Burgundy thread. Joan H did a good job on the Fast and Furious quilt.

Here is a close up of the backing.

This is a cute little sampler made by Sandy T. she always does pretty quilts. Love the fabric she used here. I quilted Daisy Chain on this one. Very pretty Sandy.

Ok that's it for now. I need to get in there and start quilting, You all have a wonderful safe weekend and gets lots of sewing done. Oh yeah 102 degrees here for the next 3 days...that's too hot, glad we will be gone for one of the days anyway......

I love that you can get so much done- I pin one in and it sits a week till I 'have' time and then see I need to do something else. I am down to quilting a couple a month if I force myself. Loved it when I did several a day but just can't get to it right now with the other hats I wear. cw
